The Coronavirus outbreak has taken a toll on jobs and businesses and the real estate market is no exception. In-person viewings around Atlanta have slowed dramatically in recent weeks. Sellers are reluctant to have strangers in their homes and buyers don’t want to be in harm’s way.
Even with all the uncertainty, homes are still being bought and sold. It’s just requiring a little more patience and coordination on everyone’s part. Last month, even though home listings were down over last year, there was still a healthy bit of inventory in the Atlanta region. Some buyers see this crisis as a great opportunity to buy a home with less competition along with historically low interest rates.
When “shelter in place” orders were announced, sellers got creative, relying more and more on virtual tours of homes. They have even provided potential buyers with tours using Zoom or FaceTime. While real estate is deemed an “essential service” in Georgia, brokers still need to follow local and state orders.
In Cherokee County, homes can be shown to prospective buyers under the following conditions:
- Scheduling in-person visits by appointment only
- Limiting the number of people present at the showing
- Practicing social distancing by staying 6 feet from others
So what are we doing at Tuscany Village?
During this time, we want to help people in their attempt to find a new home while keeping everyone safe. We have multiple options for prospective buyers to view our beautiful community. We currently provide a virtual tour (shown below), showing the community and interior of one of our model homes. We can also schedule a private showing of one of our homes at your convenience. Tuscany Village is located at 772 Neese Rd, Woodstock, GA 30188. To visit the development, call us at (678) 278-9798 or Email us.
